The US Space Force is about to gain an unprecedented view of some of the farthest corners of Earth’s orbit.

The United Launch Alliance (ULA) will launch the multi-role Silent Barker mission, also designated NROL-107, on Tuesday (Aug. 29) on behalf of the Space Force and the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO). Start is set to 8:34 a.m. Eastern Time (12:34 GMT).) on an Atlas V rocket from Space Launch Complex 41 from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida.
