Brady, who led the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to a Super Bowl title in his first season with the team, opened up about what it was like to join a new organization.

“There’s a different energy about it. It’s a novelty. It’s a fresh start to try to pick up where you were and bring all the good and then not bring the hard lessons, you know. ‘Cause sometimes the hard lessons always stay…unless you figure them out, you know?” Rodgers said during the season opener of “Let’s Go! With Tom Brady, Larry Fitzgerald and Jim Gray”.

“So it’s like you’re going through many years in one place and there’s a lot of, I would say, mental scar tissue, from losses or from relationships or from certain experiences. Oh, this guy had said that once, or that teammate, or that coach, or that general manager.

“Now you’re going to a new place and you don’t have any of that. So now you can hopefully do your best knowing that you probably didn’t do everything where you were, but you did your best. And now you can go to a new place with a different kind of emotional energy.

Brady said he was “excited” to see what Rodgers could do with Gang Green.

“He’ll be invigorated. Looks like he’s having a great time leading up to this year. I know he’s been signed in the offseason, which is always great, and he’s really trying to connect with his teammates,” Brady added. “So I can’t wait to see what he does. They’ve got a really good team. They’ve got a really good offense. And, you know, Aaron has been, when he’s got good receivers, man, that’s quite dangerous. … I think he’s going to have a great year.”
