The 21-year-old faces multiple charges after killing two men with a jeep

Multiple charges are being brought against Antonio Lopez, a 21-year-old accused of killing two men with his Jeep in February.

This isn’t the first time Lopez has faced such charges. In 2017, he pleaded guilty to beating and killing Keven Lozoya in Issaquah. Lopez was just 15 at the time. He served about a year and a half in prison.

“He killed my son, then he killed two more, how many more will he kill when he’s on the street,” said Grisele Lozoya, Keven’s mother, to KIRO 7. “The first time he was 15 years old, but now he’s 21, he knows full well that he’s killing people.”

In the most recent incident, the Washington State Patrol said Lopez’s Jeep struck two vehicles involved in another collision on southbound Interstate 5 near the West Seattle Freeway. Police said two unresponsive passengers in one of the first vehicles were still dead at the scene. The other victim was outside his vehicle but sustained serious injuries.

“He’s a criminal, he’s a murderer that I knew would kill more children and more innocent people,” Lozoya said.

Police believe Lopez has been hiding in Mexico since the incident. Just a few days ago he was arrested at the southern border when re-entering the United States. He was extradited back to western Washington where he faced a judge.

Lozoya was there too. She said she flew in to support the victims’ families.

“I hope he can stay in prison for a long time now,” she said. “I miss Keven every day of my life, he’s on my mind 24/7 and that’s why I’m here to support both of these moms.”

The trial date against Lopez is set for October 11th. He is being held in the King County Jail on $1 million bail and the judge also ordered home surveillance.
