In a 2018 Instagram post, Phillips opened up about how her parents continued to fight for custody while she was in the care of multiple foster families.

“They spent years and years fighting for custody so I bounced back a lot,” she wrote. “When I was a child, separated from my parents, I remember my mother would come and want to take me and want to go with her so badly and scream and cry and grab the door, I was dragged inside, he Took two adults and the door shut.”

If you were 14 and you could live alone in an apartment in New York, you were invited to all these clubs, you had a bank account and a car service, you could call so you could go. wherever you want… what would happen?
