At least two children were shot dead among “several people” at a home in northwest Atlanta, police said

Atlanta police respond to a home where several people, including two children, were shot.

According to police, the shooting happened just after 10 a.m. at a home on Adkins Road in northwest Atlanta. Police have not confirmed the number of victims, but two of them are children.

Officials say the children are alert, conscious and breathing. The condition of the other victims is unknown.

Channel 2’s Justin Carter discovered a crime scene tape blocking the street and the arrival of Atlanta Police Chief Darin Schierbaum at the scene.

A neighbor told Carter that a family had just moved into the home where the shooting took place and that he saw several ambulances respond.

There is no information on whether anyone was taken into custody, but the police said so Channel 2 action news that this is not an active shooter situation.
