Weeks after hunters in Mississippi caught a giant 14-foot-long alligator, a Florida Gator Hunting team captured an alligator weighing 900 pounds in a Florida lake near the Orlando population center.

Kevin Grotz, who runs Florida Gator Hunting, told the Orlando station WESH2: “I had a fear like I had never felt before.”

Photos and videos posted on social networks show the full power of the alligator.

According to sensors, the alligator was 13.3 feet long and weighed 920 pounds. The mighty reptile was the second-largest specimen ever seen in the state – the most beige first weighing 1,000 pounds.

He said he had never “experienced anything like this in his 20 years as a charter boat captain”.

Grotz said: “At the end of the day, if a beast of this size gets hold of you or, God forbid, a child, the odds are strong.”

“Honestly, my first concern was safety because we were in a smaller boat,” Grotz said. “And then you add an alligator whose head is that big. All it has to do is turn around and we’re in trouble.”

“The alligator hunter knew he had to be smart and play it safe,” adding that luckily “he couldn’t have been with better people.”

In a video clip released by the outfit, Grotz and company can be seen battling the colossal creature, which appears to be longer than their rickety fishing boat.

“When we saw this alligator, it was way bigger than anything we had ever caught before,” exclaimed fellow alligator hunter Darren Field, comparing it to a “giant dinosaur.”

The battle would have taken Grotz and his team a whopping four hours to catch the giant – a tug of war leaving them exhausted.

“I lay down at the front of the boat and said, I have to lay down until we get back because I thought I was going to die,” his friend Carson Gore said of the interspecies fight. heavy weights.

Footage shows the team using rope to hoist the modern-day dinosaur, which is so massive it looks like it could be modified.

This recently captured giant was over a hundred pounds heavier than the 800 pounds caught last week in Mississippi.

Meanwhile, the largest creature captured was a 15-foot, 1,011.5-pound giant that was captured in Alabama in 2014.

“I never feel good about killing an animal. But that being said, I respect the harvest,” Grotz explained, adding that hunting alligators also helps protect people from “killing machines.”
